About 25 minutes away from Hernando Beach is a great area to visit – Port Richey, Florida. Our favorite restaurant here is a waterfront restaurant by the ocean: Whiskey Joe’s.

Whiskey Joe’s is a restaurant that has it all: great food, a fun atmosphere, and an amazing view.

We visited Whiskey Joe’s for dinner and sometimes just for drinks and appetizers. We sat outside on their patio overlooking the ocean and the dock. The view was amazing, the breeze was cool but not too cold, and we had a table right next to the railing so we could see all of the boats going by. It was perfect!

The ground level is a sand bar with lots of tables and adirondack chairs to sit and enjoy. Drinks are artfully presented, such as the frozen pina colada that is served in a frozen pineapple. It stays very cold for very long!

We decided to order burgers and tacos as our main dishes because they sounded good to us at the time. Both were deliciously presented—the tacos came with nachos so that was a bonus, Brian loves nacho chips! The burger came with the bun burnt with their logo – so cool. I loved everything about this meal!

All the plates and drinks are very well presented. Our favorite dessert is the bananas foster – it is served with whipped cream, pound cake, caramel sauce, candied pecans, bananas, and vanilla ice cream.

Overall, we would definitely go back again soon. This is a great place for light lunch and drinks, or a full dinner with apps and dessert. No worries, they also have indoor seating in case it rains. 🙂
