Le’s Get Salty is Located Right In Hernando Beach

Let’s Get Salty boat tour is a small private tour company located right in Hernando Beach. Meet the captain at her location or get picked up from your house (for a fee). The Hernando Beach experience without a boat is an incomplete one. Weather permitting, it is highly recommended that you experience Hernando Beach on a boat.

Cruise around the canals and see how the locals are enjoying their waterfront backyard. It’s always really cool to see some homes look so plain in the front side of their house, but the backyard is inviting and a place of outdoor entertainment.

A Day On “The Flats”

What is “The Flats”? It’s a sandbar located right off channel marker 22-25 in Hernando Beach. The water depth goes from 18 inches to 4 feet (at most). Most of the time it hovers around 2.5 feet to 3.5 feet. On a nice sunny day on a weekend summer, you’ll see at least 50 boats docked here.

People are here with their dogs, with their kids, and their drinks. Everyone just having a good time. If you’re lucky you can also see a dolphin in this area. Lots of little fish around – the kids will enjoy snorkeling. No bright colored tropical fish here, but still fun!

If you travel to Hernando Beach during the summer and did not rent a boat, I would highly recommend hiring Let’s Get Salty LLC for a day trip here and truly enjoy this gorgeous area of the Gulf of Mexico in 90 degree water!
